The Great Expedition story

Prologue
This story is about two explorers whose names were Professor Hanes, and  Max. One day, the two explorers had spotted a pyramid, and  headed toward it. When they got there they saw two figures by the entrance. One figure held a staff, and he was dressed in green, he wore a wizard's hat. The second figure was tall and had two torsos. He had two legs and four arms(he was mutated). And this figure was holding an ax-staff. Max took the map out they looked at it then they went to the doorway. When they got inside, the passage went strait then turned. There lay an extremely smooth surface that would be a slip-trap, after rounding a corner they noticed a large room. In front of them was a king and he smiled kindly. Beside him was a wall, that had a vault in it, which held the treasure. The professor and Max bowed, and the king said,
"Ah, you must be the ones." They did not know what he meant by that.
"Sire," said Professor Hanes "What do you mean by that?"
"There is a prophesy that tells of two explorers who are to be wizards," replied the king "I am King Alexander the Magnificent, and you two are the ones." The king knew this for there was a look about in their eyes that told him they were the ones. Then he took up his sword, tapped each shoulder of the two men with the flat of his sword, said something and both explorers vanished.
Outside the pyramid the two figures stirred, the explorers had turned into those figures.  Professor Hanes had become the mutated figure, and Max had become the green wizard. The professor went in first, then Max. The wizards went back in and their names had changed as well as their bodies. The professor's name was changed to Leroy, and Max was now Trevor the Green.
Years later, King Alexander, Trevor, and Leroy were in a carriage, and they passed a evil wizard called Lord Bored, his henchmen Anger and Hunger, and a citizen. These villains were known all across the country, and they were trying to take the citizen's soul so he could complete his evil plan.
Luckily  Leroy saw what they were doing, told Trevor, they pulled over, and jumped out. The two wizards, and King Alexander, got their weapons and attacked. It was a big battle and after Anger, and Hunger were defeated each attacked Lord Bored, but couldn't get him. Then the king had a plan, told the two wizards, and executed it. In the end the evil wizards were but in a special unbreakable prison. The wizards were cursed, so they returned to their mortal selves, and knew nothing from their wizard life, and King Alexander was put into the deepest sleep. Max and the professor would  have to bring him back to do the impossible, and wake him.

This legend would later be recalled as the "Legend of the Pyramid."

**Many years later**

Max and the professor were digging and digging and suddenly Max struck something.  He looked into the hole and saw something shining red in there.
What on earth could be red and shining in that hole? He thought, then he remembered the discs. Could this be one of those discs? Yes it is! "Hey Prof.! Look what I found," he shouted, "I think it's one of the discs." The professor came running toward the excited explorer. Then he saw it, the red disc. They knew that the green disc had already been found and this was the second to come into their possession. Knowing that they had found the last disc, they got back into the truck and headed off.

It had been five years since Max and the professor had found the last of the great discs and had them put into a museum to be on display. Someone named Derob Drol had found the blue disk a few years back. Today Max and Professor Hanes were telling the "Legend of the Pyramid" to a sixth grade class at a Lego history museum, after the tale was told the sixth grade class got to see both the green and red disks as the professor told of their adventurers. While the professor was talking Max saw a lone figure standing in the shadows. Curious, Max walked over. The figure was a man, and he asked if Max was one of the explorers, Max confirmed, and the man gave Max a note then left. The note said to meet in the professor's office, which happened to be in the museum, in two days time, at 9 pm.
At the time stated in the letter, Max and Professor Hanes met with the man, who happened to be Derob Drol. Derob claimed to have the third disc, and offered to go on an expedition with them to find the great pyramid.
Over the next week the trio flew to Egypt, got into their truck and drove to where the tower was supposed to be. When they got there they each took out their disk(the professor thought it would be a good idea that everyone had one instead of one person having them all just in case if the person who had all of them got robbed) and put them on one at a time, but nothing happened. It just sat there, nothing different.
The prof. thought What on earth is going on here? The legend said that the three discs must be put in order... oh, we need to find that order. Let's see here... "We must put them in order."
"What is the order?" questioned Max, then with realization said "The order we found them! When did you find the blue one Derob?"
"I found it seven years ago...a week from Wednesday," Derob replied
"Then the blue goes first, then the green, then the red," said Max as he put the discs in that order, yet again there was no disturbance. Nothing. Again. Then it occurred to the prof.
"Notice the colors on the stand," Hanes said "That must be the order." So they put the discs in that order, and they heard a rumbling. The top started to open, and a light shined off into the distance. The trio of explorers heard what sounded like thunder, and saw a cone of bright light come from something in the distance(it was dark when the three finally discovered the order of the discs), and as suddenly as it came, the rumbling disappeared. Max walked around to the side that the light was shining from, then turned around. Intending to walk back to the truck with the others, he saw a green box. Grabbing it, Max ran back to the truck, and tucked it into his backpack.
The next morning the three explorers headed off towards the pyramid. When they put the discs in the right order the pyramid came out of the ground several miles away. From here it would be a breeze, or so they thought.
A few minuets after packing up camp, the explorers arrived at the pyramid. Max was the first to find the door, but when he did he realized that there was no way to open the door, in fact there was no hinge, lock or handle. The door was like a slab sitting in front of the doorway with a small opening. Soon everyone got the news.
"Why don't we check all around for a key" Suggested the professor. So the three climbed all over the pyramid looking. When they finally met back up again at the front after about an hour, only Professor Hanes found something, and what he found was a transparent red box, a little larger than the transparent green box that Max had found earlier. When the prof tried putting the box into the crevice on the door, it was too tall. when Max saw this he realized that the box he found might work. So Max took it out of his backpack, and after a short explanation to the others about how he found it, placed it into the opening. Once this happened the door raised itself up and revealed another door. Seeing the knob on the right of the door, Derob, who had been waiting impatiently the whole time, gave it a spin, and as soon as it opened he rushed inside.
"Wow, Derob must be very exited," commented Max.
"Let me go in first, there might be some traps we will have to be careful for," warned Hanes. So the two of them crept in. As the explorers found their way around the maze of corridors Hanes suddenly slipped. No matter what he did he couldn't get up. It was a slip-trap. Hanes pulled himself across the slip-trap, then got up. He had been holding the red box the whole time and set it down so he could fix himself up. While Hanes was brushing himself off, Max carefully walked across. Something that surprised the two of them. Forgetting about the red box they rounded another corner, and were met by a large room with a throne in front of them. To the left was a rack holding a sword and two staffs, and next to that was a coffin. As they looked to the right they saw a vault. In the middle of the room they saw their chum Derob sprawled out on the floor with bricks that had fallen from above. Derob did not share the same caution as the others did. Knowing that they needed to place the crown on the sleeping king's head, Max, and Professor Hanes stepped forward and being cautious about it. What they didn't know however is the fact that all of the traps get disabled when the red box is sitting on the ledge, which happens to be a button.
Suddenly they saw Derob scrambling out of the pile of bricks towards the weapons. After seeing this Max and the Professor realized that Derob might have had other motives for getting in the pyramid, like power for instance. As soon as Derob grabbed the staff with an ax-head he started glowing. Somehow Max knew that something extremely bad was going to happen, and knew that the only way to stop it was to place the crown on the sleeping king's head, and that is just what he did. Meanwhile the professor was dumbfounded as he saw Derob growing and giving a hideous laugh, and the coffin glowing.
As soon as King Alexander awoke he noticed the evil Derob, jumped out of the coffin, and grabbed his sword and the other staff and threw the staff to Max. Once Max caught it, and he instantly transformed into Trevor the Green. With all of his memories flooding back, he zapped Professor Hanes into the well-known wizard Leroy. After throwing the staff, the king started to battle Derob Drol, or more commonly known in this form as the infamous Lord Bored, and shoved him into the wall. This wall, however is not just any ordinary pyramid wall, there was a secret room in it, one that only wizards could enter. Now with the power of the ax-staff, Lord Bored called upon his minions and his staff to complete his evil plan. As Lord Bored's staff came flying in Leroy snatched his ax-staff from the evil lord and the Last Wizard Battle had begun.
Soon after the evil staff flew in, the two henchmen also flew in, for they were freed from the prison. Anger had a jet pack with anger-lasers on the front that he started to fire at Leroy. Hunger was able to manipulate certain creatures and make them evil, and he started to attack Trevor.
After a while Leroy saw that Trevor was down and the king wasn't holding off too well, so he grabbed the staff, snatched Lord Bored's staff, and took the king's sword and started to use their power at the same time. In doing this Leroy created a sphere of energy which exploded. The explosion destroyed everything two feet above the ground, but was still contained in the secret room, but did not have a good effect on the pyramid. Lord Bored and his henchmen were destroyed, and all of the staffs went with them. The sword, crown, Leroy, and the king were not disintegrated, but Leroy did die. Trevor, however, was not harmed from this explosion, because he was lying on the ground, and King Alexander did not die although he was injured.
The next day Trevor went to give Leroy a ceremonious burial, with a cross made out of crystal over the grave. The blast of energy had weakened the structure of the pyramid so the king and Trevor decided to leave. Having nowhere else to go Trevor decided to try out some other careers and King Alexander decided to explore now just calling himself Alex.
After several years the pyramid faded from thought, but Trevor liked to go see it from time to time, and while he was there one afternoon, the pyramid imploded, and sucked in the crystal cross from Leroy's grave, and took Trevor with it. Trevor found himself in a vortex, the pyramid had transformed into a sarcophagus with an awsome amount of treasure, and four odd keys on the outside. Trevor also looked for the crystal cross, but it had been blasted into ten different pieces, and each piece went though different portals to different dimensions, and two were in the sarcophagus. Trevor didn't want just anyone to get a hold of this treasure, so he closed off the sarcophagus, and took the keys out, when he suddenly found himself in another place. Here he was greeted by a blacksmith, who told him that where they were is where everything is made, a gingerbread man, Frankenstein, and a mad scientist.
